What You Would Be Doing:

The primary focus of the Freight Desk Team Lead will be to assist the Freight Desk Manager with department goals, and act as a leader and resource on the team of Freight Desk Agents. Job responsibilities:

  • Monitor the work queues and apply resources accordingly to help meet department Service Level goals
  • Review work and provide coaching and training in line with the department quality goals
  • Conduct performance reviews
  • Being visible to answer questions when agents need assistance
  • Disseminate communication of changes to procedures, reminders and updates
  • Conduct interviews of potential new Agents to the Freight Desk

Who We Are Looking For:

As a Freight Desk Team Lead, you must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills along with good judgement and attention to detail. Other necessary skills include:

  • Contact Center Supervisory experience (1+ year)
  • Customer Service experience (3+ year)
  • Contact Center experience (3+ year)
  • Coaching experience in a Contact Center environment
  • Experience writing and delivering performance reviews
  • Experience in conducting interviews
  • Logistics experience a plus, but not required
  • Demonstrate problem solving skills
  • Demonstrate decision making skills in a fast pace environment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent multitasker
